Terms of Service
Last updated July 1, 2026
The short version
I want Team Toolbox to be useful, secure, and fair. These terms set out how to use it and what to expect, and they protect both of us. If anything here is unclear or you have a concern, just reach out.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Team Toolbox Discord application and related services (collectively, the "Service"), provided by Team Toolbox ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please don't use the Service.
1. Using the Service
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a way that doesn't infringe on others' rights or interfere with their use of Discord. In particular, you agree not to:
- harass, harm, or distress other users
- transmit obscene, offensive, or illegal content through the Service
- spam, phish, or engage in other malicious or deceptive activity
- attempt to circumvent security measures or access features you're not authorized to use
- misuse Safe Spaces or other privacy features, including trying to unmask anonymous participants
- violate Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines
2. Features and Connections
Team Toolbox provides built-in tools (chat summaries, reminders, keyword alerts, Safe Spaces, voice meetings, and server tips) and optional connections with third-party services, including Google Workspace, Notion, and Canva.
Your use of any connected third-party service is governed by that service's own terms and privacy policy, and we are not responsible for their data, content, or practices. By connecting a third-party account, you authorize us to access and use information from that service as needed to provide the feature, and to store the authentication credentials required to do so. You can disconnect a service at any time.
3. Your Responsibilities
- Keep your Discord account and any connected third-party accounts secure, and let us know promptly of any unauthorized use
- Comply with all applicable laws and with these Terms
- Respect other users' privacy and anonymity, especially in Safe Spaces
- Provide accurate information when configuring connections
- Report bugs, security issues, or abuse through our support channels
4. Data and Privacy
Our collection and use of your data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you also agree to that policy. In short: messages are processed only when a feature needs them and aren't permanently stored, configuration data is kept to run the Service, and connections may involve sharing data with those services.
5. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and branding are and remain the property of Team Toolbox and its licensors, and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Our name, logo, and trade dress may not be used without our prior written consent. Content you and your team create or share through the Service remains yours.
6. Availability and Changes
Team Toolbox costs $30/month per server, billed through Discord's native subscription system after a 30-day free trial (no payment details are collected during the trial). Your subscription price is locked in for as long as you remain continuously subscribed, even if pricing changes for new servers. Nonprofit organizations may request a free subscription. We work to keep the Service reliable, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We'll provide reasonable notice of material changes to the Service when we can.
7. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by removing it from your Discord server, disconnecting your connections, or requesting deletion of your data. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, misuse the Service, or create security or legal risk. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will remain in effect.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. You use the Service at your own risk.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Team Toolbox and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. This applies regardless of the legal theory and even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages.
10. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Team Toolbox from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the operator of Team Toolbox resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be handled in the courts located there, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we'll provide reasonable notice (for example, through Discord or the website) before they take effect and update the "Last updated" date above. By continuing to use the Service after changes take effect, you agree to the revised Terms.
