What you get

Better calls, less busywork

Everything a small team needs to run a tidy meeting, without leaving Discord.

Meetings

Recording & transcription

Start a meeting and the call is recorded and transcribed, so the conversation isn't lost when it ends.

Google Docs

Notes to a Google Doc

The transcript and notes land in a Google Doc your team can read, search, and share afterward -- in one Drive folder, if your admins pick one. Add your agenda before the call and the notes follow its shape, links and all -- and the transcription listens out for the names in it.

Onboarding

Speaker queue

Raise a hand to line up to speak and lower it when you're done, so bigger calls stay orderly.

Summaries

Great for standups

Run daily standups, sprint reviews, or retros where your team already hangs out.

Reminders

Catch up after

Missed the call? Team Toolbox can post the summary and action items straight to a channel, tagging whoever each one names -- so you don't have to open the doc to find out what you owe. Each calendar can post to its own channel, or to none at all.

Keywords

The chat counts too

Half a meeting happens in the chat. Links, replies and reactions go into the transcript alongside the talking, so the conversation isn't split in two.

Google Calendar

Starts itself

Put a voice channel in a calendar event's location and the meeting opens there when the event begins, notes and all.

Settings

Right in Discord

No separate meeting app to schedule or join. It happens in the voice channel you're already in.

How it works

How to run a voice meeting in Discord

Connect Google for notes, then start the call.

1

Connect Google

Run /google connect so meeting notes and transcripts can be saved to a Google Doc.

2

Start the meeting

Join a voice channel and run /meeting start. Use /hand raise to queue up to speak.

3

Wrap up

Run /meeting stop when you're done. The notes land in the doc, and the summary and action items go to whichever channel your admins picked.

Commands

Voice Meeting commands

Run the meeting and the speaker queue, all from Discord.

Meetings

/google connect /meeting start /meeting stop /meeting notes

Connect Google for notes, then start and stop the meeting from the voice channel's chat or while connected to it. /meeting notes writes the notes again if they got something wrong.

Speaker queue

/hand raise /hand lower /hand queue

Raise your hand to line up to speak, lower it when you're finished, and check who's waiting -- privately, with a button to show the room.

FAQ

Common questions

Yes. Start a meeting with /meeting start and Team Toolbox records and transcribes the call, writing notes to a Google Doc.

Use /hand raise to line up to speak and /hand lower to step out, so larger calls stay orderly. /hand queue shows you who's waiting.

Notes and the transcript are written to a Google Doc, so connect Google first to use them. An admin can also pick a channel for Team Toolbox to post the summary and action items in when the meeting wraps up, and a calendar that starts its own meetings can post to its own channel instead, or to none.

Run /meeting notes in the voice channel the meeting ran in and Team Toolbox writes them again from the transcript, updating the doc and the post in your channel. Add a correction in your own words -- correction: the mock-up was June's, not Ellie's -- and it outranks what the recogniser heard.

Yes. Messages in the voice channel's chat go into the transcript alongside the talking, including replies, reactions, and the alt text on any image posted.

Join a voice channel and run /meeting start. Run /meeting stop when you're done.
